Biscotti & Bible, Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
Join us each week as we study lectionary texts. The lectionary consists of readings from the Hebrew scriptures, the Psalms, the gospels, and the New Testament letters.
Our discussions have already led us to reflect on our current life challenges, contemporary politics, and literature in general with the breadth of our talks continually growing. You will find an interesting group of people blessed with lively minds and warm hearts.
During winter months we meet in the Chapel at 10:00 each Wednesday morning. All are welcome to attend!

World Religions Class Meets Twice a Month
Join us as we explore the religions of the world! As the American religious landscape becomes more and more diverse, it is a good time to learn something about the faith traditions of our neighbors. It might even deepen and enrich your own understanding of God.
The Adult Sunday School class meets the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month, at 9 a.m., downstairs in the library. Our primary text is The Idiot’s Guide to World Religions, supplemented by handouts and articles that are provided.
Everyone is welcome. No need to attend regularly—just stop in when you can.

Join us for the five Fifth Sundays in 2012, beginning January 29th. Other Fifth Sundays are April 29th, July 29th, September 30th and December 30th. You will see a variety of art forms in elements of theatre, sacred dance, poetry and styles of music -- including every genre from classical to hip-hop. Join us in proclaiming God's love through a multi-dimensional, multi-generational worship service featuring the varied talents of the people of The South Church.

The 2012 "coffee hour" sign-up sheet is posted in Fellowship Hall ... if you're interested in a special date, please sign up as soon as possible. Again, your coffee hour goodies don't need to be elaborate ... just a little something to share with your fellow congregants following the worship service. Join us for Taize Service on Ash Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at 7:30 p.m.!
What is Taize? Music that emphasizes simple phrases, usually lines from Psalms or other pieces of Scripture, sung repeatedly. The repetition is intended to aid meditation and prayer.

Join us Thursday, April 5, in the church library (downstairs) for a simple service during which we will partake of soup and bread, and service each other communion.

Join us on Saturday, April 7, in Fellowship Hall (downstairs) for a Pancake Breakfast. This is a Community Event, and all are welcome! Kids 12 and younger eat free! A guest appearance by the Easter Bunny and candy for the kids.

Join us for worship service on Palm Sunday, April 1, at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary! Palms will be distributed and the service will tell the story of Holy Week through readings and music.
