Children
We love our children, and it shows! This year, our children are participating in a dynamic new Sunday School program that includes crafts, stories, theatre, and music. The curriculum is from the Center for Progressive Christianity (www.tcpc.org.) Children join their families for the beginning of the worship service and A Time With Our Children (not to be missed!) at 10:30 a.m., and then leave to join their Sunday School classes at 10:45 a.m.
In addition, children are invited to participate in the annual Christmas Pageant and various Bible-based plays presented on some 5th Sundays during the year, and to ride on The South Church float in the Fourth of July parade. Vacation Bible School is held the first week of August each year. Children are invited to attend and bring their friends!
Youth Group
Join our junior-high and senior-high youth as they meet every Sunday, September through May, from noon to 1:30 p.m., in the Youth Group Room. Activities range from food and fellowship to games and "deeper meanings" discussions. We welcome all kids who want to participate. For more information, call or email the church office.
Adult
Bible and Biscotti: Meets Wednesday mornings from 10-11:15 a.m. for Bible study and conversation.
Christianity 101: Introduction to the basics of Christian faith. Meeting during Lent on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. Includes a free dinner.
World Religions: Meets 2nd and 4th Sunday mornings before church service from 9-10 a.m.
YOMARCOS: A social group, marrieds or singles, any age welcome. Meets from September to May on Friday nights. A potluck dinner and various programs of interest are featured.
Families
Our "F Group " (where F stands for Fun) puts together family oriented activities. Halloween parties, games nights, movie and popcorn night, New Year's Eve lockin party and bowling are just a few of the family activities we have enjoyed. The "F Group " is always looking for other fun activities.
Those South Church families and friends of The South Church who go on the annual canoe trip to Wisconsin each year can tell you what a great time they have!
